Hatch health and safety training programs win two Horizon Interactive Gold Awards
Toronto, Canada—Hatch is excited to announce that two of our custom-developed health and safety training programs for employees have won Horizon Interactive Gold Awards. The Travel Safety and 10 Safety Fundamentals training and eLearning programs were developed in partnership with Xpan Interactive, a global pioneer in developing immersive, interactive, digital knowledge experiences.
The Horizon Interactive Awards is a prestigious international competition recognizing outstanding achievement among some of the top interactive media producers from all over the world. The Horizon Awards, which is celebrating its 19th year of competition, has a rich history of recognizing the “best of the best” websites, videos, mobile applications, advertising, and more. Other prestigious winners include Microsoft, Salesforce, and Oracle.
Hatch’s corporate mission is to build practical solutions that are safe, innovative, and sustainable. Whether in the office, on site, or at home, we aim for No Harm—for our people, equipment, and the environment. Our culture inspires leaders at all levels to demonstrate a visible and proactive commitment to safety and our goal to innovate in all we do led us to build learning programs that are highly engaging and award winning!
“We believe that a well-trained employee will develop a positive attitude toward their work and their success leads them to develop a stronger work ethic. In turn, they will also develop team spirit and leadership skills that transform the workplace. That’s why we feel it so important to invest in building our safety culture at Hatch and why we’re so pleased that our programs have been recognized with Horizon Interactive Awards. We thank Xpan for their partnership in bringing new, innovative ideas and capabilities to help us continue to deliver safe solutions to our clients,” said Dan Welshons, global director, Health & Safety at Hatch.
As a global engineering, project management, and professional services firm, we carry out projects all over the world, in a range of industries, and often in work environments that are complex and inherently risky. In order to carry out work in a safe, skilled manner, everyone at Hatch must be appropriately trained and as a global organization, it is important to us that we provide consistency in our training across all regions and in the multiple languages of those regions. A healthy, competent, productive, and quality workforce is more effective, more risk adverse, and are better thinkers.
“We are grateful for our partnership with Hatch as we support the growth of their learning culture,” states Ron Thiele, President and Founder of Xpan. “Hatch is a progressive organization that cares deeply for the health and safety of their employees. Xpan is proud to work in collaboration with this stellar team in the production of this award-winning digital knowledge solution.”
