Rail Systems and Operations Lead, Rail & Transit

Anneri has 32 years of experience in consulting, operations, supply chain, and logistics, with a particular focus on transport and logistics design and optimization. Her expertise encompasses the design and optimization of heavy haul freight and passenger rail operations. She specializes in supply chain optimization planning and design, rail and road operations improvement, and network modeling. Anneri's extensive industry experience includes bulk materials logistics, passenger flow management at stations, the development of ticketing system requirements, and multi-modal logistics.

With 18 years of project management experience in a multidisciplinary environment, her experience includes managing two comprehensive asset audits for the Gautrain Management Agency, producing a due diligence report for a rail design in Zambia, conducting a health and safety audit for the Gautrain, overseeing a rail simulation project for passenger and freight capacity growth in Namibia, and developing operational and ticketing systems for passenger rail expansion in Madagascar.

She also served as rail engineering manager for a West Africa iron ore project prefeasibility study and as operations lead on a 16-Mtpa Manganese Phase 2 Design, overseeing rail operations and system logistics development. Anneri is passionate about mentoring and ensuring the next generation of railway engineers develop a passion for railway excellence and improvement.

Mutual learning is possible through open and unbiased engagement. As more experienced individuals, we can gain fresh perspectives and creativity from younger people. Learning is a reciprocal process where everyone's unique experiences contribute valuable insights, provided we are willing to engage constructively.

What do you think we need to do as individuals to improve inclusivity?

Facilitate one-on-one and small group discussions on topics such as leadership and generational differences to foster closer relationships and promote leadership development across all team members at Hatch.

What does positive change mean to you?

Making a difference in every small conversation and interaction within Hatch or with clients.

Navigating accelerated change in every area: technology, AI, engagement, even succession planning and leadership.

I have the privilege to work with a great diversity of people. I can sow the experience I’ve gained and still learn from others
