Challenge
- Units 3–8 need major components replaced to extend unit life by 30 years
- This is a follow-on to assignment which began in the early 2000s to return Units 1-4 to service after laying dormant for nearly a decade
- The current major component replacement program requires improved site infrastructure
- Acquisition of skilled labor is a challenge for the new program, which is happening concurrently with Ontario Power Generation's Darlington refurbishment program
Solution
- Provided engineering and construction services for the upgrade of Units 1, 2, 3, and 4
- Main contractor for the Units 3 & 4 restart
- Currently helping Bruce Power prepare for the major components replacement project
