Hatch named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 15th consecutive year
Competition recognizes best-in-class employers
Toronto, Canada—For the 15th consecutive year, Hatch has been named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, a competition that recognizes organizations for overall business performance and sustained growth.
The 2022 Best Managed program award winners are amongst the best-in-class of Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $50 million that demonstrate leadership in the areas of strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, and financials to achieve sustainable growth. Hatch is a Platinum Club member, which includes winners that have maintained their Best Managed status for seven years or more.
Hatch aims to use its skills and knowledge as a global professional services, engineering, and project management firm to bring about positive change in the world. As a values-based organization, its employees share this common vision and believe that by combining their diverse ideas and challenging the status quo, they can develop solutions to some of the world’s toughest challenges. To do so, the company aims to develop an inclusive culture with limited hierarchy that openly welcomes all ideas.
“We don’t have a complicated organization chart; it’s a very flat hierarchy," explains Randy McMeekin, global managing director, Engineering. "We form teams globally, bringing the right expertise that our clients need. There’s no rigid chain of command; people are empowered and enabled to bring their best thinking to really hard problems. Every voice is heard.”
Now in its 29th year, Canada’s Best Managed Companies remains one of the country’s leading business awards programs recognizing Canadian-owned and managed companies for innovative, world‑class business practices. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates the caliber of their management abilities and practices.
