Hatch announces new membership with Propulsion Québec―The first consulting engineering firm to join cluster for electric and smart transportation
Montréal, Canada—Hatch is pleased to announce a new membership with Propulsion Québec, the cluster for electric and smart transportation, to partner on the pursuit of developing and implementing electric and intelligent transportation in the province. This membership aligns with Hatch’s corporate sustainability and climate change goals, as well as our work in the metals, infrastructure, and energy sectors to help our clients meet their emissions reduction and electrification objectives. We are Propulsion’s first member in the consulting engineering sector.
Propulsion Québec brings together and rallies close to 230 businesses tied to electric and smart transportation to jointly develop innovative projects aimed at positioning Québec as a global leader in smart and electric modes of ground transportation. This industrial cluster seeks to accelerate and support the growth of Québec’s electric and intelligent transportation ecosystem to reinvent the future of mobility and to enhance a positive energy transition.
“Together, we will be able to create unprecedented outcomes for the numerous industries in Québec. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to our clients and provides their staff with smart and sustainable solutions reflecting their environmental and climate challenges,” shared Stéphane Raymond, regional managing director, Eastern Canada, Hatch.
“Propulsion Québec is thrilled with this partnership with Hatch, consolidating the value chain of the Québec electric and smart transportation sector that we have been supporting for almost four years. Our combined strengths and expertise will ensure the electrification of Québec and the development of a greener, sustainable and prosperous society,” said Sarah Houde, CEO of Propulsion Québec.
The membership with Propulsion Québec will create a beneficial sharing of knowledge and enhance our ability to support the full battery market value chain by integrating the expertise across various markets, including metals and mining, environmental services, climate change, renewable energy, and transit and urban development.
“Our technical expertise in battery metals is deeply rooted in our history in the mining industry and the experience that our team has in extracting and processing battery materials, including nickel, lithium, and copper,” shared Joe Lombard, global managing director, Hatch. “It is through this knowledge of the full battery value chain that we can help our clients make informed decisions about their entry into the battery market and support their electrification goals.”
